I sold my house in July & was due to complete the sale on the 31st July. On the 22nd July an OpenReach engineer tried to gain access to my house to install fibre ready for the new owners, I wouldn't let him in. On the 27th July while my husband & myself were out, OpenReach installed fibre to the outside of my house. This was a blatant act of trespassing & criminal damage. It would seem that OpenReach can enter a private property to install equipment without the fear of any recriminations. I complained to OpenReach only to be told a pack of lies, so I then lodged a complaint with the communication ombudsman only to be told that because OpenReach is not a service provider there is nothing that they can do.
