This was such an excellent, elegant evening. The champagne on arrival was delicious, and it was great to meet other people who have a strong love of music. Everyone reverently paused their conversation to give their full attention to the incredibly talented artists. The violin solo from Schindler’s List was impossibly beautiful and standing there listening to it in black tie was a perfect moment I will never forget. The opera singers were superb as was the piano soloist who played Chopin with ease. Everyone looked stunning in black tie and ball gowns and masks. The whole thing felt very special - like a scene from a movie. This was my first one and I will definitely be back again, wherever it will be.
