I have now had both lasik and lasek surgery and it has changed my life after weairng glasses since I was 9 and I am now 52, I wish I had done it before. I now can see really clearly for all long distance and driving. But need to have some glasses for close up fine work e.g. sewing reading small print, but changing the print size on the kindle helps. Both proceedures were a little incomfortable and the dry eyes afterwards, but it was worth it to be glasses free. I noticed this most on holiday when before swimming meant taking lenses in and out or wearing glasses. Trips to the cinema and thertre have been brilliant it just gives more freedom of choice without having to have glasses or lenses
