The recovery period for Lasek is longer, and the few days after surgery were uncomfortable. I was expecting this because my optometrist had managed my expectations really well, so I knew it would be over soon. I was very scared on the day of surgery. If anyone else goes for Lasek I would recommend that they have someone there to look after them, and to ask lots of questions so that you know what to expect. I'd tell them that when it is over it is all worth it. The staff were friendly and reassuring. I love being able to see so well. I don't think I ever have been able to see this well even with glasses. About 3 or 4 days after my surgery I couldn't sleep because I was so excited about being able to see everything. I am very happy that I went through with it.
