My surgery was double the price of my step father's eye surgery at optical express, which is why I didn't have it done after a consultation over 4 years ago as I was about to go to University. However my parents have been kind enough 4 years after this, to support me with mine. My own father has had the surgery done in France around 20 years ago and I was always keen to have this surgery. My glasses were not fashionable, I was unsure wether to spend money on a designer pair and I was sick of the limitation of contact lenses, which were drying my eyes out from too much wear and from being on the computer for too long. The surgery itself was a bit scary however after some discomfort throughout the day and the night, the next morning I could see the most clearly I have ever seen. So from over a decade of wearing glasses since 8 years old, I have never had much confidence wearing my glasses other than if I was tired early in the morning or I was studyng and on my computer all. I am glad to be rid of glasses for a very long time until I eventually become long sighted when I am elderly.
