Laser eye surgery was something I had thought of at various times over last 10 years or so. A colleague had it done last year and I decided that this would be the year for me. Just wish I'd had it done sooner, can't believe how good my distance vision is now. It is going to make such a difference, no more fiddling with lenses and especially good on holiday for swimming etc. The whole experience was very good, staff very friendly and helpful and the procedure was nothing like I had expected. It was "weird" - like watching a surreal film, but couldn't feel a thing. Some discomfort and "grittiness" that night, just went to bed with my goggles on and slept, but wow, the difference the next morning!! Amazing. When attending for post op appointment, I could read lines on posters in the waiting room that my husband had difficulty with! (Have had to buy some weak reading glasses for some close work, but was to be expected due to my age, at least I can increase the point size on my Kindle for reading......) Thanks Optical Express!
