The decision to go ahead with laser eye surgery turned out to be a brilliant decision. Like most people I was apprehensive, but the staff made me feel as comfortable as possible and were very reassuring. On the day of the surgery I was naturally nervous, but the procedure is so quick and painless - much easier than expected. After the initial discomfort (which only lasted for about the first day) I could feel some improvement (although I will admit to some concerns as close up vision did seem to be struggling). But those concerns were gone within a few days, and at my week follow up I knew my sight was much better than it had ever been. Now I have better vision than ever with no problems at all. I still find every day I appreciate the improvements in my life - no more squinting, no more wiping raindrops from my glasses, no more fogging up... life without the annoyances of glasses is wonderful.
