I had underestimated two things; the quality of my distance vision after surgery (much better than expected) but also the number of post-op visits I would have to have (there were many more). Generally, I felt well-prepared for the surgery and most of the care has been good or better. The only dampner is with regard to reading in low light after surgery - still quire bad (e.g. I couldn't read anything on a menu recently as the restaurant was pretty dark) but I am hopeful (and have been reassured) that it will get better.
