From the first phone call to Optical Express,everyone I have had contact with has been helpful and reassuring. I was extremly nervous prior to my first eye being done, but I was reassured by staff and meeting the surgeon,Prof Venter was more reassuring. The surgery experience was very good,I was no longer nervous once the process started and the experience was fine. I was especially glad after the first op when I could see white light through my dressing and new I was not blind! This was a great fear prior to having the first eye op! When it came to having my second eye done, after the improvement in my sight after a couple of days of having my first eye op, I couldn't wait until the week was over and I could have my second eye done.Everything has gone well so far, at my check-ups all is progressing well. I was glad when six weeks was up so I could resume normal activities, especially my yoga practice, not so much housework! All in all I am very glad I have had the surgery, and just not having to think "have I got my glasses" is brilliant! My sight is still not perfect, but, and I am realistic enough to know it will not ever be 100%, it is so much better! I would recomend the surgery to anyone who had similar problems to me.
