To anyone that is considering Laser Eye Surgery, I have to say you will not regret your decision! I had Lasik Surgery done a week ago at the Queen Street branch in Cardiff, the team were extremely professional and knowledgeable and made me feel completely at ease over something I was quite nervous about, being my sight and all! After only 10/15 minutes of being in surgery it was all done! I couldn't believe the ease of it all. There was minimal discomfort during the surgery, mainly just a few seconds of pressure on your eyeballs, which is a little uncomfortable, but asides from that the surgery was painless. I must say, it is better that you have somebody with you to accompany you straight from the surgery, as your sight isn't the clearest just after, also, ensure you take sunglasses to wear straight after and for a few days after as the glare/light is rather bright. I went straight home took two painkillers and went straight to sleep. I woke up within the hour to my eyes watering quite a lot, this next hour to 2 hours was the most uncomfortable, my eyes were quite swollen, hard to open to apply the drops and they felt very gritty but as soon as I had my eye drops in and fell back to sleep I was fine. The next time I woke up 3/4hours later, the discomfort had eased considerably and after my next dose of eye drops I slept for the night in my gorgeous new night goggles...! The next day I could not believe it, for the first time since I can remember, I woke up and could see and focus on everything!! It was an amazing feeling not having to reach for my glasses before getting out of bed or ever again for that matter!! Over the next few days the itching feeling has started to leave and my eyes feel great, my vision is wonderful!! I only wish I had done this sooner!! Definitely something to be considered if you wear specs / lenses regularly!
