The worst experience ever.
I’m a customer of origin electricity and they offered me their broadband with a discount. I wasn’t planning to change my provider however the manager on the phone was convincing.
It was the worst decision ever.
The cooling off period expires before the modem is sent to you.
Once the modem arrived and it was connected my internet was gone. It hasn’t been working since then. I was calling their technical support every day and was on the phone for hours. They were doing the same troubleshooting over and over again. Even send a technician that didn’t find any problems. But the service wasn’t working. We tried my old modem but it wasn’t working and they suggested that it’s not compatible. Also they suggested that I need to call a local technician to check my connections inside the house that I need to pay for. However, all my connections were working perfectly fine before I plugged their modem. This whole situation continued for 8 days. 8 days no internet, lots of time on the phone!
I canceled my agreement and signed with a different provider and ‘what a miracle’ I had internet using my old modem and old connections in 1,5 hours.
Now origin wants me to pay 300$ for early termination fee for the service that I didn’t get.
Don’t use origin broadband!
