Our grandpa had terminal cancer and was in the last few weeks of life. We ordered flowers to deliver to his home on Mondays, knowing he didn't have many weeks left. He suddenly took a turn for the worst and was admitted to the hospital on a Friday evening. I called the night of, almost at closing time, and the person over the phone reassured me they'd get the flowers to him at the hospital by the next day - first thing - knowing he might not make it through the weekend. There was no extra charge or fuss - just sincerity and compassion. I'll never forget how reassuring it was to know he'd have some sunshine delivered to him in the last few days of his life. He passed away three days after being admitted to the hospital.
