Palmer Butchers Review I’ve been a loyal customer of Palmer Butchers for years, mainly because their meat selection is unique and hard to find elsewhere. However, my recent visits have left me incredibly disappointed and questioning why I keep going back. First, the staff’s attitude leaves a lot to be desired. They’re often rude and unhelpful, making the shopping experience unnecessarily stressful. During my last visit, the person serving me actually seemed annoyed by why i kept ordering more meat. This is not the treatment I expect when I’m spending my hard-earned money. The shop is always crowded, which is understandable given their reputation, but it feels chaotic rather than organized. The prices have also skyrocketed recently, making it harder to justify the visit, especially when the overall experience is so unpleasant. To top it off, they’ve stopped offering free biltong when you spend above a certain amount—a gesture that used to make loyal customers feel valued. Now, it feels like they’re taking their customers for granted. I wish I could find another butcher that offers the same quality of meat but values its customers and provides a better shopping experience. As it stands, I’m seriously considering looking elsewhere. My loyalty only goes so far when I feel like my money isn’t appreciated.
