I had commissioned a proofreading work from them to be delivered in 11 days and paid £1,000 in advance. They extended this deadline to 30 days and I only found it out because I phoned them to ask what was the status of my work. I had then to cancel the job, but they would not refund me the money. I spent many hours of my time and energy, speaking to lawyers and trading standard office to ascertain what my rights and get my money back. I only recovered it because I proved to my credit card bank that they were the ones who breached the agreement. In this process I spoke to at least five people of Paper True, who claim their editors are all British, but none of them spoke English with a native accent. Moreover, I found out that the photos posted in their website, claiming to be editors, are also posted in a similar business website based in India. I am, to say the least disappointed and outraged by their lack of professionalism. I am not sure where all these positive reviews come from, but would advise caution before you hand your money to them. There are lots of other business in the same field who do not require advance payment.
