My client was very disappointed, on review of the proof read, their main concerns were: • They have removed all of the section numbering. I am not sure why they would do this as it is necessary for the structure of the guideline and to be able to reference sections. • The formatting and minor text changes are generally fine, however where they have done more than this I found that more often than not that they changed the context of what we were trying to say. This has meant that I could not accept their changes in these cases and instead only make some of the text/format changes that didn’t change the overall context. • In many areas I feel that they have just made changes for the sake of making changes without adding any value. Since they don’t understand the technical basis of the document then this often changes the context. • There is some inconsistency in the changes they make. At a guess, I have probably been incorporating about 50% of their changes and rejecting the rest.
