It’s a shame that annual policies don’t provide cancellation cover until the policy starts, rather than the date you take out the policy which is how single trip cover works. It means that if you have a holiday booked for later in the year you won’t have cancellation cover unless you start the policy straight away, which shortens the usefulness of annual cover. Maybe an option to start the policy with your holiday and additional gap cover for cancellation would be better.
