Very happy with the sales process, the Peter Vardy salesman was very helpful and not too pushy and allowed me plenty of time to test drive a couple of cars and check them over. I wanted the car as soon as possible, so the Salesperson arranged for me to be able to pick it up later the same day, which was great. However after having the car for a week I noticed that the handbrake was barely working. I dug out the service book from the car and found an MOT certificate from January 2016 which had advisories on it saying handbrake 23% efficiency only just a pass. The MOT certificate I was given from the dealer from June 2016 showed no advisories. So either Peter Vardy had failed to notice that the handbrake wasn't working when it was MOTed in June, or it had scraped through and they had just decided to sell it with the fault and hope the buyer wouldn't notice. Neither of which is exactly very reassuring. However they were at least very helpful in resolving the problem, and booked the car in quickly to fix the fault and gave it a free valet. The Salesman was also very apologetic, so at least they made a good job of rectifying the problem. Would I buy from Peter Vardy again? If it hadn't been for the handbrake fault then undoubtedly yes, but I now have doubts about whether I would actually trust them again.
