DO NOT EVER get onechoice funeral insurance in NZ.
1. Its an Australian company based in Australia.
2. Their communication is the worst
3.their reviews are not an accurate representation of their products as all reviews are done by a third party and only allow for a review based on the initial contact you make with them. You cannot review any claims or anything apart from the first call you make too them.
4. Every time I have attempted too speak with a case.manager regarding a claim, he is always conveniently on another call and NEVER EVER CALLS BACK like they say they will so you end up calling at least twice a week with a promise of a call back and nothing ever happens.
5.if you POST your forms too the listed nz po box, well these get forwarded and posted too australia for their team there too process and handle. If you send.original documents and they get lost then.you are out of luck. They don't scan the forms in NZ they send them via post too australia, further prolonging your fckn claim and putting at risk your documents with the.possibility of them getting lost in international post!.
Do not ever use this company. They took so long to process an early funeral insurance payout claim, because of terminal illness, that the claimant died before it was complete and they will ignore all attempts at contact too resolve the matter
