If I could give no stars I would. At first the booking of the holiday went well. However 3 days before my cruise, I could not access the tickets through the email. I spent more than 3 hours trying to get through on the phone. Eventually got told don’t worry, but then the person spotted the error. ( they seemed to imply it was because we were flying from Dublin). I was told it was all sorted & to arrive at the checking desk in Dublin airport with our passports & this was all We needed. Consequently this was not the case. As my husband & I were originally booked onto the flight the day we booked the holiday then the same day the flights were cancelled 😡. No explanation why, or by whom. We were travelling with 2 other guests. So we ended up buying 2 single tickets from Dublin to Rome. Cost €590. The lady on the checking desk said only get a single ticket then talk to the travel agent about returning flights, when we arrived on the cruise.( we could not get through to them, poor internet on cruise line. Spoke to Princess cruise customer service & they said it was not down to them, but the travel agent). My Daughter in Ireland spent hours on the phone trying to get through when she did. Planet cruise said they would deal with this as a matter of urgency. Well that was the 7/5/22. We ended up having to source & pay for return flights home ourselves. Cost €940. We have spent so much time being upset, as we we’re totally abandoned by this travel agent. The cruise that was booked for a special occasion has been totally ruined & the memories will always be overshadowed by this appalling experience. My husband and I are still waiting for answers to why our flights were cancelled . Also when will we be refunded for our extra costs. Not alone compensated for this appalling experience for all the persons involved. So far we were offered €699-12, refund. This was the cost of the original flights. Which were cancelled ( Don’t know why) & a £50 voucher towards booking another cruise with planet cruise. In the conciliatory spirit in which it is intended. ( Their wording ). Completely bewildered & exhausted by all this upset.
