Based on a mistaken assertion from a departing customer, Positive Energy have been pursuing me for the bills of property that I do not own or lease. I informed them I do not own or lease the property in November. Then I received a further call chasing me for payment and to provide the serial number for the meter of this property. I told them again that I do not lease or own the property in question. I then received an invoice in February, and a letter saying that my account was overdue for previous invoices (despite never having been sent any such invoices prior and despite telling them I am not the property owner). I have then written to them at great length asking them on what basis they are threatening me with invoices, admin fees, and notices of court proceedings when they have never once addressed the fact that I do not own or lease the property! Not even with a 'we disagree and think you do own the property' which is easily disproven with a check of the land registry for £3. I am continuing to receive threatening emails despite repeatedly having to chase up a response to how they think I can be responsible and is causing no amount of undue stress to be on guard for notice of legal proceedings which I can defend but worry I might miss in the post and will lead to legal fees, hearings and headaches when all they need to do is give any form of response on why I should be invoiced for energy on a property I do not own or lease!
