My order arrived promptly despite having to cross the North Channel in the current confusion. It was well packed and will hopefully prove useful once life gets back to normal or on Saturday when I to do some tidying up in the garden. The Cold Steel latin machete was a replacement for one that had been borrowed and 'lost' so it was a known quantity. A lot of machete for not a lot of money in a simple but workmanlike sheath, though considering the size of the thing scabbard might be a more accurate term. The Brazilian made (so they should know what they are doing) Tramontina was a bit of a random purchase but I am very pleased with it. The wooden handle is more comfortable and secure than I had feared and if use reveals any issues a bit of judicious sanding will sort them out. Finally some Tatonka stainless steel mugs. Not exciting but good quality and I rather fancy getting the larger one just for myself next time. All in all a good shopping experience with a very tempting range of useful and necessary things I never knew I needed as well as the things I actually wanted.
