My requirement was a self aligning ball bearing as a replacement in an 1950 David Brown tractor steering column under restoration. I did not have the original bearing number but dimensions indicated that, surprisingly, it was a metric bearing. Tractor parts suppliers could supply a bearing at an inflated price. Initial internet searches did not find a replacement but accessing the QBL site provided an easy to use identification system that came up with the correct bearing a very reasonable price. On line ordering resulted in the bearing being delivered the following day. The David Brown tractor now has a fully restored steering column! Thanks.
