Quasar provided me with an experience of a lifetime. I was immediately enveloped by culture, food, new friends and a lifetime of memories. They arranged everything and covered every minute detail of my stay. My trip began in Quito with a quick overnight at the Eurobuilding (exquisite accommodations), then onto the Amazon and the Sacha Lodge, where I experienced first hand what it was like to live amongst a local tribe and learned just how fragile and important the Amazon jungle is to planet Earth. A quick stop in Quito with a professional tour guide and chocolate tasting at Casa Gangotena, all arranged by the Quasar staff. The Hotel / home is palatial yet homey. The Hotel and staff are 5 star. Our drivers were all on time, extremely helpful and went out of their way to make sure our experience was top notch. We flew from Quito via Guayaquil to the Galapagos where we arrived to our private Yacht "The Grace", she is as exquisite as all the pictures and reviews said she would be, and her legacy only enhances her beauty. Christian, the hotel manager, and his staff were always on point with everything that we needed or wanted. My accommodations were beyond luxurious with an added touch of wildlife towel decor nightly!! Javier, our bartender, always had a smile and always on point with his suggestions!! Our guides Walter and Hernan were top notch. They provided us with nonstop entertainment and experiences that kept exceeding our expectations. Their knowledge of flora, fauna, local culture and myths added to the mystery of the Galapagos. I was not ready to leave the Galapagos by any means and am already to return for the alternate excursion to the other side of the Galapagos. Swimming with penguins and sea lions though definitely on my bucket list; I really want to swim with those Hammerheads!! By far the hardest trip to come home from as I was left wanting more and more. As difficult as it was to return to reality after spending two weeks being pampered, experiencing new cultures with the most hospitable people ever, I have taken home the most amazing memories, made life long friendships and have a new appreciation for Mother Nature and all her glory.
