My wife and I recently returned from a Quasar organized adventure to both the Amazon and the Galapagos Islands. Each trip was about a week long. Our adventure to the Amazon originated in Quito, Ecuador where we acclimated to the altitude and with a guide, toured the beautiful and historic city of Quito. From Quito, by way of plane and boat, we travelled into the Amazon and stayed at the wonderful, La Selva. With excellent guides we explored the jungle waterways by small boat, hiked, climbed 215 steps to the forest canopy to view monkeys and birds, and viisited a native community and school. From Quito we travelled to the Galapagos and by ship toured extensively on the MV Evolution (shout out to 'pilot' Vincent). The crew was extremely accomodating, guides were phenomenal, and the hikes, small boat adventures and snorkeling was exceptional. Diane at Quasar organized our trip and and in great detail prepared our itinerary. The planning and preparation was beyond expectation.
