Placed order 30th May 2023, had still not received by 5th June, was sons birthday that day and was a present, emailed Quickplay with order number and got standard reply stating they will respond as soon as they can, I chased a response on 7th June and finally got a response from a Julian stating the order had been delivered that day to my "Neighbour". The "Neighbour" was a garden centre 7 miles from my house, I had not requested the parcel to be left with a neighbour, and I certainly wouldn`t have expected it to be 7 miles away. I had put a note on with DPD that if I wasn`t in they could leave it in my safe place which I gave a detailed description of. Neither DPD nor Quickplay or Venture Blue which is the company that DPD have as the supplier provided any assistance in trying to get the parcel to me from the garden centre so I took it upon myself to just go there and collect it, a round trip of over 14 miles. The garden centre said they have had issues with DPD doing this to many customers which is not a surprise as I have had issues with that company previously. I wont be using "QuickPlay UK/Venture Blue" again due to the lack of communication, the delay in posting the item and the fact they use DPD. Shocking all round, not one apology from anyone. The actual item I purchased is fine, shame it was 10 days before I got it and at the the expense of my time and fuel. If they had been honest from the start about forgetting to post I would have accepted human error, the lack of communication thereafter was terrible and shows a lack of respect to customers.
