Probably an ok company however I unfortunately won't be using them again unless they move to a different delivery driver or look at improving ways to increase customer satisfaction.
I ordered recently for an order to be delivered. The order was processed and shipped and passed to DPD Local. DPD were out delivering the parcel and drove down my road (I saw the van on my CCTV) and then a few moments later posted a photo of the traffic lights just down from my road and stated no one was home.
I contacted DPD who informed me the only people that can help or remediate with DPD are the suppliers (after doing some searches online for similar situations this does appear to be the case) so I contacted Mike at RHV and he replied promptly to say he was on the phone to them and they have instructed the driver to come back and deliver.
Nothing happened and the next day it stated the same DPD driver was going to deliver today instead. The driver drove down my road and then called me to ask where the house was. I informed him it's the clear number seen from the road on the side of the house and he actually looked out his window this time to see where the house was (it's not hidden or difficult).
When he got to the house I asked why he didn't call yesterday if he didn't know where it was as he obviously has my number (though he went past so quick he can't have seen house numbers) and why he stated no one was home and sent a picture of traffic lights.
He then, after having to call to ask where it was said he did ring my doorbell! I offered to show him my door CCTV for all of yesterday which he then just said he has to go and walked off.
I contacted Mike again effectively stating I do not want to pay the £3 to have to have used a delivery service that lied and treated me so poorly and asked for either a refund on this part of the order or a store credit or discount on a future purchase.
This was rejected.
I have worked in the customer service industry for over 20 years and something so simple even if you weren't going to be recompensed by DPD (which I am pretty sure they could be after this service) it goes a long way to keeping customers.
Unfortunate really, as this was my first experience with them and won't be in a hurry to try them again unless delivery providers or customer service improves.
