In an age oversaturated with digital photography and social media, it can be hard to find a trusted place that still supports beautiful art such as analog photography. I went on a trip to Japan and found my Mom's Pentax K1000 that she bought in 1979 and knew I wanted to take it with me on the trip. There was already a roll in the camera but I bought a few more to practice and figure out the ins and outs of shooting on film. I sent in two rolls to be developed by Reformed Film Lab and the results helped me understand where I went wrong and how to readjust for better shots. They were so quick to email back my scan and they even sent me a welcome video thanking me for using their services. I trusted them so much that I sent them the four rolls that I used on the Japan trip and decided to order prints as well. Again, very quick turn around and they came out beautiful. When I emailed the shop about the differences in the scan size and how to development process worked, they were quick to respond and eager to help me out! The prints came in two hard case plastic containers and they sent back my negatives as well. I had no intention of getting into film photography, but a shop this respectable and friendly that delivers beautiful results has me inspired with a new hobby. I already ordered more film through their site and I am chomping at the bit to develop more!
