I thought Relationships australia was the place to go when you needed family support. I contacted them I had a family consultant Grace and a dv counsellor janine. Both staff members were more concerned about finding a problem or uncovering if my son is safe or not. And yes I understand they have to protect children but when there is clearly no risk on the child as we lived separately to my husband and had no contact but they still made multiple reports to both police and dcs about me saying my husband was there and my son was in danger which was absolutely false both cases were closed immediately. They like to waste the government's resources and are quick to judge. I got assaulted and as I have noone so I called my family adviser for support while waiting for the police. Grace the worker did not ask me if I was OK she only asked me who called the police to which I responded me. Then she wanted to speak to the officer taking my statement she was on loud speaker and she said " how does she present" the police informed her I was 100 percent normal. She has no actual care other than to try and look for problems where there arent any. Grace said she would liase with housing for me but she did not do as she said. She was also supposed to be my support for a crisis payment but would not verify my situation so I got declined. My son attends the flo program there and even though they have established no risk they continue questioning him over and over. He now just doesn't want to attend. I also informed the school about some of my sons behaviour and they have not listened to a word I said. If I could give this organisation a minus rating I would as I do not recommend this place to anyone unless if you are seeking support
