Never have a Revolut account; it is terrible and not secure.
I had my Revolut account accessed or cloned. Four small transactions were made. However, this type of activity is clearly easy to carry out. Revolut has a weak ability to respond to these situations. The customer is essentially left at a loss, and Revolut does not issue a refund. Personally, I do not recommend Revolut to anyone. If you wish to have a bank account in the UK, always choose companies with a physical presence. Never open online-only accounts. The risk of cloning and unauthorized access is almost immediate.
The response you will get from Revolut is:
"We can understand why you continued to pursue this matter. We have thoroughly reviewed your request and concluded that, unfortunately, your dispute does not meet our requirements. This means that we will not be able to refund your transaction or provide further assistance with the dispute. We understand that this may not be the outcome you were expecting, and we sincerely appreciate your cooperation while we handled this situation. Thank you for your patience during this process."
For this reason, NEVER open an account with Revolut. The experience is poor, and customer support is unfair to the customer. Security is minimal.
For example, companies like Santander, Lloyds Bank, HSBC, and Barclays are miles ahead.
For instance, if someone makes a purchase via Google Pay using another device, Revolut has no system to alert the customer or ask if they authorize the transaction through Google Pay. This is just one example. So, do not use Revolut under any circumstances, even if it were the last bank on Earth. Thank you.
