CHECK REAL WORLD FURNITURE DIMENSIONS This is the 2nd time I've ordered a bookcase from this company, however the overall experience this time was less positive. In short, I looked carefully at the measurements of the bookcases on site and paid more for one that claimed to be bigger than my last one. After building it however it instantly looked smaller which was enormously disappointing. I reached out and found Roseland's response sadly more defensive than sympathetic, saying it assumed all customers know that measurements provided are based on the widest possible element (in this case a wide piece of wood on top), not the main, usable section of the bookcase itself (which is vastly more useful). I've asked them to make this clearer on their website, but they didn't seem very interested in this idea, which was surprising. So, make sure you phone them up and check the practical dimensions of anything you buy to avoid making the same mistake and getting the same "we assumed you knew" response.
