I booked my round-the world ticket in April 2010, when air travel was facing many problems: first we had the volcanic eruptions in Iceland and this meant that I had to forget about flying from Dublin. Then there was a British Airways strike in June and my carefully planned London - Cairo flight was cancelled. Malcolm, my contact at Round-the World Flights, told me not to worry and I was re-booked on another flight two days later. I kept in touch with RTWF, especially after reaching South America, as I felt like making changes to my own itinerary. (I did - I decided to take two months travelling around the USA and Canada.)
