My grandpa passed away recently and to say I am devastated is a bit of an understatement. While I was growing up, the coolest thing ever was going to see grandpa and seeing his telescope set up. We'd watch for shooting stars, he'd tell the kids the different constellations, and I'd recite the Greek myth that went with it (I've always been a nerd). I bought the star map with the sky on the day my grandpa was born so that even though he's not with me anymore, he's with the stars that he loved, and I have that piece of him. It's been a comfort to have in the house. The board is sturdy, the picture clear and vibrant. Labels are easy to read. While hanging it up, I got the dye from it on my hands, but it washed off easily and the board shows no signs of me accidentally rubbing paint off.
