Saks Fifth Avenue has the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I purchase a pocketbook for $248 for my daughter 2/9. It was delivered 2/14 and by 3/10 it the strap was starting to fall apart. I called customer service and spoke to a rep who said he would send me an email and I could pictures of the bag. He said I had a few options, I could keep the bag at a discount or return the bag. I never got an email from him, so I called back today, 3/22 and was told because it was outside of the 30 day return window, there was nothing they could do. I asked to speak to a supervisor who told me the same thing, so I asked to speak to his supervisor. I was transferred to Christopher, who eventually offered a 10% discount. $24.80 is unacceptable and borderline disrespectful. Life is hard enough and I could have and should have spent my money somewhere else. The return policy needs to be adjusted in cases of defective items. Nordstom offers a 90 day return policy. I will never purchase another thing from this store and will be closing my account!
