We invited Salt to come and give a quote for what we wanted. In reality, anything would have been better than the experience we had with a previous “builder”. However, the Salt difference showed us what could, and should, be done. Oli visited us in early October and said, “We can have this done before Christmas”, and to our delight, it was, and to a very high standard. Oli let us know a ball-park figure before the contract was complete, just so we could be sure of a rough price we’d need to pay; all upfront and open. Salt’s tradies were great; polite, communicative, punctual and their work was of a high standard. They were thorough and left no mess. It is clear that ethical engagement and product is forefront. The Salt team included an online project plan where you can view the schedule, see the proposal and cost breakdown, the contract, the plans, etc, exchange messages and questions and see the responses, review quotes and documents. It is all extremely accountable; you know what is going to happen and when, and what it is going to cost. Their team properly engage you and manage the project, all the way through. Any variations were up-front, open and agreed upon. If an item on our wish list turned out to be prohibitively expensive, Oli let us know and looked into alternatives rather than asking us to pay exorbitant prices. The Salt team assign a designer, a personal project manager, a scheduler, and others behind the scenes to make sure that your renovation moves forward and is completed. Our timeline was tight and it ran to within a day or two of the anticipated completion date. Considering the size of the job, which included a large kitchen and laundry space, that was amazing. Our renovation is now complete and we love our new spaces (kitchen, en-suite & laundry). We notice places we had visited previously where we used to think, “this place is nice!” but now, not as nice as ours. Our friends agree and say “wow” when they walk in. We love using our new spaces and it has brought us fresh enjoyment of our home. We wish we’d known of Salt earlier! We cannot fault Salt and would recommend them without hesitation.
