Specifically wanted a new laptop that ran the Windows7 operating system which immediately limits your choice these days but the ACER appeared to be the best of the bunch when you look at spec vs price. Now its arrived and have been using for a couple of weeks it has done exactly as required. Only slight niggle is the mouse pad does appear to be overly sensitive with no apparent way of making it less-so via the settings. Other than that it's absolutely fine for what I use it for and fingers crossed it stays reliable for the next few years like my last HP device.
