Quick delivery and a copy of antivirus supplied. However, I wanted to use Kaspersky instead. I found it impossible to remove the MacAfee antivirus software installed. When I approached Acer they were totally unhelpful unless I paid money. I have removed antivirus software before without too much problem but this time the only solution I could think of was to reformat the hard disk and reinstall the operating system without the crapware. I didn't do this as I had already installed other software. For the record in Computer Shopper mag the last antivirus review gave MacAfee a 76% success rate and Kaspersky and some others 98-99%. This was the reason I wanted to remove the MacAfee software. This does not reflect on Save on Laptops as they are an online seller but does on Acer. Next time I will either buy a laptop over the counter on condition that they install Kaspersky or other antivirus before I take delivery or buy a different brand without MacAfee installed (if I can find one). This type of issue is always a potential risk of buying on line.
