This is a good all round laptop. I use it extensively for powerpoint word excel Skype and web browsing. It's fast and have had no problems so far. Windows 8 takes a bit of getting used to though and it is really designed for a touchscreen laptop which this isn't. That said, I never use the new windows 8 interface as you can easily swap back to the old familiar 'desktop' view which works like all other windows versions more or less. I've found adding adding printers fine and other external devices are recognised. Overall excellent value for money. Acer is a good brand that I trusted before and it hasn't let me down. It's no Mac pro but it does what it says on the tin.
