I bought a premium Veritable Sabatier full size kitchen knife and it was available at an excellent price that was much cheaper than anywhere else online. There was no extra cost for delivery and the item was dispatched promptly via UPS. Unfortunately this was where things went a bit wrong and got a bit frustrating - mainly due to UPS rather than Select Homewares, but I can't nevertheless give a full 5 stars because of this unfortunately as it was rather stressful in terms of a customer experience. UPS for seem reason promised to deliver it on two consecutive days, but did not. This meant me staying home to receive it for no reason and unable to leave the house in case it came. On the second day it was supposed to come, at around 16:00 tracking updated to say flat number was missing despite entering my flat number when ordering (it was on my order confirmation) - it had been missed off in error by Select Homewares and UPS decided to only let me know on the second day they said it was to come. Cue engaging with very rude and unhelpful UPS customer services on the phone. It was finally delivered the next day and UPS called to give me a more specific delivery time period which they previously refused to give - luckily my partner was in to receive it as it has to be signed for by an adult due to being a knife. I think the customer journey could a bit better and smoother, apart from my order confirmation I didn't get any further communication from Select Homewares, no dispatch email or anything, I only knew it was on its way due to an email from UPS. Also missing my flat number off the address also caused further issues with UPS who were less than satisfactory already to deal with - not only is their tracking archaic and very inaccurate they give a delivery time window that is so vague you are stuck waiting in for a parcel that never even comes because of the inaccurate delivery estimate. The knife is very good quality though for the price paid and now I have received it I am very happy with it, the issues with delivery aside.
