Drive arrived to collect and he complained that it wasn't on a pallet, he didn't have any wrap, that it was too heavy, that it was the wrong size, etc etc. The gentleman from whom the item was being picked up was very patient indeed given how rude the driver was. In short, for what ever reason, the drive simply didn't want to take the item.
Through Sendapallet, we had paid extra for Mitchell's to provide pallet and wrap/secure the item themselves, the full dimensions and weight were given when booking the courier. The instructions on the job note stated all this and that a tail lift would be required because the item was heavy.
So, after lots of complaints, phone calls and wasted time, we rescheduled for the following day and there were no further problems. The item was placed on it's side, tied it down to the supplied pallet and it was wrapped. The item arrived early next morning in good shape and there was a helpful and friendly driver who kindly helped lift the item into the house.
What all the problem was with the first drive is anyone's guess?
I'm now wary of using Sendapallet again.
