Mitchells of Mansfield I had a substantial problem with a consignment arranged with ‘Sendapallet’ (Mitchells of Mansfield) two weeks ago. I paid extra for a pallet and for their ‘premium service’ to ensure fast delivery. The collection company, Ketra, did not bring the pallet which I had paid for. They said that the instruction from Mitchells was in very small print so they missed it. Mitchells said that Ketra would come back later with the pallet, but this did not happen. In the end, after many calls, I spoke to a helpful lady at Ketra. She could not get a vehicle to me. However, after I asked, she agreed that I could bring the consignment to their depot in Thamesmead myself, a two hour round trip. The Mitchells office staff (two ladies) would not accept responsibility for this issue and took no effective steps to resolve it, other than supplying a phone number, telling me that “These things happen”. In the end I was able to resolve it myself so that the consignment reached Wales the next day. Mitchell’s recorded telephone message says how reliable they are. This was not my experience. I have since emailed twice about this and received no reply.
