So disappointed. Our expensive luxury slab tech work top was chosen at wicks along with our kitchen. We asked for a work surface that was hard wearing and one that you could place hot plates onto.It was only on fitting that we told by an independent fitter that the work surface would mark and need care with an expensive care kit. We can not put hot plates on the surface, it stains and scratches from the slightest rough surface such as the bottom of a ceramic fruit bowel ( sheridans implied we’d used a knife). We complained to sheridans and wicks and eventually the furniture ombudsman but with no satisfactory outcome. I’m flabbergasted that slab tech work tops can be sold as such.
