I brought a blue iPhone XR 64GB around Christmas, shipping took a week to arrive. When it did arrive it was fine, it worked with my carrier initially. After about 60 days, the phone started showing a thick black strip down the left side and the colours looked washed out. Initiated warranty request as there was no visible external damage whatsoever. Sent the phone back to the seller, and was told that it had been inspected and that I had caused the damage and it was not covered. Not sure how this is possible since no visible damage and was in a case from day one. Took the phone to an independent phone repair and had it fixed for $150. However, they told me that 2 screws had literally fallen out of the phone when they had opened it for repair, and that all the screws needed to replace the screen were badly stripped. Informed the seller, and they informed me "Our technicians ensure that after an inspection all screws, connectors and parts are securely attached for optimal usage." Well, obviously not. And perhaps replace screws when they are stripped rather than re-using them after a repair or inspection? Disappointed, but not surprised considering the $40 price mark. I’m currently now returning the XR and waiting on my return label.
