This was an excellent experience with a great variety of activities. The primary plus was the quality of the people who facilitated our tour: special kudos to Mr. Fernando Cottas Bordallo, our tour director who was wonderfully helpful and always organized; Nusa, our guide at Iguazu Falls, so knowledgeable and always on the spot when needed; and Paul in Santiago, very friendly and communicative. The pace of the trip was also enjoyable, as we were not rushed through experiences, thanks to the careful attention to detail. Very nice accommodations; the Sofitel Hotel in Buenos Aires was really well located within walking distance of the famous cemetery and the most interesting museums. The optional tours were a good value, especially the Petropolis excursion. A quick word to travelers: many internal flights, all of which went smoothly except for a cancelled flight in Sao Paulo, obviously not the fault of SmarTours. However, it was a good thing we were seasoned travelers and were able to maneuver ticket changes in an airport in which Portuguese was the primary language spoken. Leave yourself plenty of me if you are attempting to navigate the airport there. Many more pluses than minuses; fun trip which requires some stamina but you'll have a great time and see beauties beyond your imagination.
