The dog car seat works great for my new puppy. She weighs less than 9 pounds now, but she will grow so I ordered a seat large enough to accommodate her as she matures. The seat does take up the full front seat of my vehicle with zero room to spare. I like the way the seat boosts up my dog and the seat is securely fastened. Then my dog is securely fastened to the seat belt. My dog wears a harness in the seat and I feel it’s a very safe option compared to having my dog loose in the car. It’s safer to me as driver to not be distracted by her and for her as a passenger to be secured like humans are in vehicles. It keeps her from needing to lean out and scratch out my car interior by peeping her head out the window. She watches the world go by for a bit and then falls asleep. The model I purchased has a storage drawer which is nice to keep an extra leash, dog poop sacks, a pop up water bowl, bottle of water and treats. The black quilted material compliments my car and the sheepskin fuzzy lining will keep her snuggly while riding. The lining may be a bit hot in the summer, but once the AC cools the card down, it shouldn’t be an issue.
