Like others I responded to a social media advertisement seeking mature models. After a couple of brief interviews with Soho Fashion Studios I was told I was what they were looking for and was offered a free photoshoot at their premises. I was charged an initial deposit, but told this would be refunded once I turned up for the shoot. This was to discourage no-shows. I was a bit cynical, but they were true to their word and the fee was refunded. So far 10/10! I arrived at the shoot with a suitcase full of different outfits and was warmly welcomed by Sasha, who proceeded to choose 4 outfits for me to wear. After a brief session with Mia for hair and make up, we duly completed the four sessions, two indoors and two outdoors, with the excellent and helpful photographer. The day ended with a brief session to look over the photos and to discuss what happens next. It had been stressed all along that there was no obligation to purchase any of the photos, and this is the case. However, at this point it emerged that to have a career in modelling you need a portfolio. Various options to purchase such were presented. I said I needed to time to think about it and would get back to them. Whether I choose to proceed or not. It was a very interesting and enjoyable day. All the staff were encouraging and helpful. A grand day out!
