I applied through Online Models to do some part time Commercial and High Street Modelling, plus I was/ am also very interested in doing some film and TV extra work as a fun way to top up my income as I am employed full time in office based work. I found Online Models to be very quick to respond, professional in their communication and very thorough in the telephone interview. I was delighted to be chosen to be invited to the next stage which was to travel to Soho Fashion Studios in London less than a week later. It was very exciting, it’s based just round the corner from the famous Piccadilly Circus, just behind Regent Street. I walked there from Buckingham Palace which only took 15 minutes and I got to see a lot of sights, including a lot of Theatres with famous acts on and I got to walk right past the front door of the Ritz. When I arrived at the studio it was buzzing with photographers, makeup artists, and excited hopeful models. I took my suitcase of clothes, shoes and jewellery with me and the staff picked out four outfits for me to wear. They had a huge collection of fancy jewellery and shoes to give that extra wow factor to my looks. There were two photography studios, one with backdrops and lights, the other with funky furniture in it. For each look I was given a makeup and hair makeover. We did two shoots in the studios and two shoots outside on the streets of Soho where dozens of people were outside the bars. It really was an amazing experience and I felt like a professional model. I had lots of lovely chats with the staff and the other models, it was a great experience. After all the shoots were finished I had my assessment feedback and I was over the moon to find out that I had been successful and I had a chance to look at some of my best photos. I am now very excited to see what happens next and to receive my portfolio. As promised I received my deposit refund within 3 working days.
