We brought a black micro zip up fleece as an in between base layer for our son who attends an outdoor/forest primary school. This layer is amazing and doesn’t take up much room underneath jumpers and has stretch too so it’s flexible and great for an active child. My DS is 9 but is tall so wears age 14 clothes and I just wish there was more choice of clothing for this age range in spotty otter. We have the jacket and waterproof trousers too but again not much choice in this age range. Our school goes up to secondary so more options for the older child would be appreciated.
