I'm sure it provides an important service for other small businesses and presumably it's cheaper than the venue providing ticketing services, but it still grates on me that there was no transparency in the "service charge" I was charged. Does this all go to Stage Stubs? Is it per ticket or a flat rate? - it's not clear. For a 3 minute transaction with email delivery of tickets, 16% for the service charge with no explanation or breakdown to justify it is high IMO. We have all got used to ludicrous Service Charges being tacked on by Ticketmaster and others. They rely on us being so grateful for having secured tickets that we won't balk at the last minute additional fee at the checkout. As Stage Stubs is a small business, it would be nice to see them prove that ticketing can be a partnership with the end buyer too and not just the seller who wants to put on a ticketed event.
