If possible, I would award Stobart & Hurrell zero stars - they certainly don’t deserve any. As buyers, they treated us with utter disdain and indifference from the outset. They were so aggressive that it nearly lost them the sale and even shocked other estate agents. They failed to communicate with each other and could not be bothered to communicate with us, failing to pass on important information from their client, while any emails they did send were full of bizarre, faux-legal language, presumably in an attempt to make their role appear more important than it actually is. When our sale initially fell through we informed them straight away, but they had neither the professional nor personal courtesy to acknowledge the fact or respond, though the property was back on the open market in an instant. They were so totally focused on their commission that they forgot to treat us properly, which in turn so very nearly lost them their commission. Awful to deal with and without doubt the most unhelpful and unpleasant estate agents I have ever come across. If they were the only estate agent in town I would start my own rather than use them. If you have any choice in the matter at all, avoid at all costs.
