I am in dispute with Stocktons in Manchester (a designer furniture retailer) regarding a problem with a very recent furniture order. I cancelled it and asked for my deposit to be returned. They won't accept the cancellation or return the deposit. They play hardball unlike their competitors Barker & Stonehouse who are good people to deal with if the customer has a problem with their order.
